Cast Your Line – Show Your Support

The Detroit River Walleye Classic is an annual fishing tournament, hosted by the LaSalle Firefighters Associations. It takes place at Gil Maure Park, the first Saturday of May each year at the LaSalle boat ramp (Laurier & Front rd).

All the proceeds raised from the event are returned to the community by supporting local high school scholarships, supporting local families in need, supporting children with critical illnesses, sponsoring youth programs as well as organizing local food & toy drives, and numerous other charitable support initiatives.

Registration is open to the public, and we also offer a wide range of sponsorship opportunities. Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding the Detroit River Walleye Classic.

I have been taking part in the Detroit River Walleye Classic since it’s first year, and I absolutely love it. It’s a great time, and supports our community. A great day to catch up with some old friends.

Please arrive 1 hour early day of event for check in. All purchased apparel to be picked up while fish measuring is taking place. All registration and apparel purchases are final sale and non-refundable.
